A shaken bourbon sour with lemon, simple syrup, and optional egg white.

- 2 oz bourbon
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white, optional
- orange peel twist and/or cherry, for garnish

Method
- Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and optional egg white in a shaker. Shake to combine.
- Add ice and shake vigorously until chilled and frothy.
- Strain into an ice-filled highball or rocks glass and garnish with orange or a cherry.
